As part of our mitigation plan to curb the spread of COVID-19, FVRD staff are now working remotely. Our services remain operational but response times may be slower than normal. We are able to process your dog licence payments but there will be a delay in mailing out tags. We will mail your tag as soon as we can. Even though you may not receive a tag immediately, rest assured your dog is registered in our database and our Animal Control Officers will be able to verify you have licensed your dog.
Once you've submitted your dog's information and completed payment, we will process your new dog licence the next business day. It will then be mail to you via Canada Post.
After you've registered your dog, you'll be sent an annual renewal notice in November. You can renew your dog's licence online or at a number of different locations throughout the region. To find out where, click here.
